Shirazi

”In the late 80’s national radio’s “Soul Show” drew Shirazi’s (real
name Amir Maani Shirazi) attention to electronic music. From the start of the house virus (early 90’s) in the Netherlands he was fascinated by the music played by Dutch DJ Dimitri.

In the mid 90s, he started producing his own music, which led to the release of 2 co-productions under the name “Fluid Illusion” on independent label Precious Records. A few years later all productions came to a standstill, but his love for electronic music never disappeared.

Shirazi restarted his production activities in 2006 and reached the final of Holland’s biggest contest for bands/producers called “Grote Prijs van Nederland” in 2007. He won the audience prize in the dance/producer category with his live performance.

Shirazi’s debut EP “Morning Drive” was released on TEAMrecords at the end of 2008 and includes a remix made by renowned dj/producer Vince Watson. Morning Drive EP is supported by Dave Clarke, Marshall Jefferson, Rulers of the Deep, Gel Abril, Roland Klinkenbergen, Gayle San, Lady Aida and many more.
