After years of producing under Rotterdam’s finest, EC Records, Jeroen Verheij aka Secret Cinema / GrooveYard / PointBlank has set up his very own record label: TEAMrecords.

Philosophy

TEAM is not about individualism; it’s about working together and communicating, and yes… about education. TEAM is not just another record label aiming for mass release and commercial recognition. It stands for innovative and qualitative electronic music by giving exposure to talent worldwide. Educating people is the most significant matter for this new innovative label.
TEAMrecords wants to create a platform, which will help people to get into electronic music production. Education and fun play are an important role in TEAM’s philosophy. TEAM, as the name clearly points out, works as a team by giving exposure to talent and by including that talent in Secret Cinema’s release schedule and remixing projects.

The first release, Water Gruv Remixes, came forth out of a remix competition done by FOEM and will be in stores worldwide as vinyl and digital format end of September 2007. Winners of this contest are from countries such as Russia, Latvia, Germany and the Netherlands. Thanks to FOEM, an organization that coordinates worldwide remix contests for producers, TEAMrecords expanded its range and has already settled its fundamentals in the international upcoming producers scene.
TEAM thinks BIG! and plans on visiting countries worldwide and supplying the concept of music production, software demonstrations, connecting producers and live performances to the scene. SAE (School of Audio Engineering) has already chosen Jeroen Verheij several times for their well-known series of workshops ‘Inside Look’. In Jeroen’s vision that means FL Studio and so the educative form is already in progress.

To celebrate this brand-new concept, The Label Launch party took place on October the 12th at Waterfront, Rotterdam and special Demo Drop Box made available for producers who want to share their music for a chance of release on TEAMrecords.
