Gossi

Born in Sweden in 1980, Gossi has lived in Iceland since age 2. Surrounded by music and arts from early on he played his first show at 6 years old, working percussion. Initially self taught on guitar and drums he started fiddling with primitive computer audio software in 1993 which resulted in a passion for electronic music. That passion culminated in 1997 with the release of a 12″ jungle/dnb EP dubbed “voices inside my head”. After that experience he wandered about in the field of obscure noise music and entered a recession which lasted a good part of 5 years.

2002 saw the birth of the live electro trio “two bad vampires and a dead guy crew” which performed in and around the Reykjavik area in 2003 and 2004, including two appearances at the Iceland Airwaves festival. Live drums, triggers, synths and vocoders were the key ingredients in that project which reached a hiatus status when Gossi moved to amsterdam late 2004 to study audio engineering. During his stay in the netherlands he’s been busy working on solo tracks in various genres with an emphasis on electro and house music.
